Carl Moyer Grant Program

The Carl Moyer Program provides monetary grants to private companies and public agencies to clean up their heavy-duty engines beyond that which is required by law or regulation through repowering replacing or retrofitting their engines, vehicles or equipment. Moyer grants also fund infrastructure projects to support California’s transformation toward zero and near-zero emission technologies.    Application Form Download Here.

FARMER Grant Program

The California Air Resources Board awarded $135 million statewide to reduce emissions from the agricultural section, which came to be known as the FARMER Program.  The FARMER Program is supported by California Climate Investments, a statewide program that puts billions of Cap-and-Trade dollars to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy, and improving public health and the environment – particularly in disadvantaged communities.

Community Air Protection Grant Program

The Program’s focus is to reduce exposure in communities most impacted by air pollution and uses a variety of strategies including community-level monitoring, uniform emission reporting across the State, stronger regulation of pollution sources and incentives for both mobile and stationary sources.

Potential projects include:

1.    Heavy-duty (> 14,000 Gross Vehicle Weight Rating), diesel-to-electric vehicle replacements, examples include the replacement of older diesel garbage trucks and transit vehicles with cleaner models
2.    Heavy-duty diesel equipment replacements
3.    Diesel school bus replacement projects for public schools, including diesel-to-diesel or diesel-to-electric
4.    Projects that reduce air pollution in public schools such as composite wood products, electric lawn and garden equipment and upgraded air filtration systems
5.    Electric charging stations or hydrogen fueling stations for businesses and public agencies (residential charging stations not eligible)

Woodstove/Fireplace Woodsmoke Reduction Grant Program

Eligible applicants can receive a rebates to partially offset the cost of replacing an old, non-EPA certified wood stove or fireplace insert with a cleaner-burning stove, insert, LPG fireplace, or heat pump.    Application Period is currently Closed.  Check back for updates.   Application Form Download Here
